Cook the product, the process, the policy or the experience. Not the person.
That single line decides almost every moderation call we make. Everything below is it, spelled out.
What belongs here
Be as blunt as you like about the thing itself. Harsh is fine. Specific is better.
- The landing page, the pricing, the positioning, the onboarding, the copy.
- An interview process, a support experience, a policy, a refund flow.
- What confused you, what wasted your time, what you expected instead.
What gets removed
These are not judgement calls. Content like this comes down.
- Threats of any kind.
- Naming individual employees, recruiters, support agents or interviewers.
- Private information: phone numbers, home addresses, personal emails.
- Attacks based on race, sex, religion, disability or any other protected trait.
- Sexual harassment.
- Spam, malware, and repeated promotion.
Naming people
Company Cook exists because processes are worth judging in public. The people inside those processes are usually not the ones who designed them, and they cannot answer back here.
Describe what happened without naming who did it. "Five rounds then silence" is the useful part. A name is not.
The exception is a company's public face speaking publicly on the company's behalf.
If you are the one being cooked
You can claim your page, see the analytics, and publish one public response.
You cannot delete criticism you disagree with. If something breaks the rules above, report it and it gets reviewed like anything else.
Reporting
Every cook has a report action. Enough reports hide a cook automatically, pending review. It is hidden, not deleted, because a co-ordinated pile-on should not be able to erase honest criticism.
